“I almost hit the jackpot last night…”

About 30 miles south of Atlantic City, right at the end of the Garden State Parkway sits the resort town of Cape May. Exit Zero. The tip. The end. Or the beginning. Something better beginning. (Go ahead, bring on some sixties references!) .

Roger’s March 30 showcase set at Singer-Songwriter Cape May was very well received. Even better were the new friends he met over an intensive weekend. The town was alive with music spilling out of seemingly every other doorway.Roger is pitching for a Cape May show some time this summer.

Instead of heading straight back to New York, Roger diverted to his home town, Philadelphia where he visited some old friends on Sunday night and played one of his favorite open mics in the area, the one held at The Grape Room in Manyunk. He was surprised at the warm reception he received. Some had seen Roger before from his past shows at The Grape, others were Philadelphia area-based performers who connected with him at Cape May and gravitated to The Grape because of the strong original music scene there. And there was one even bigger surprise: Rebecca Perl, a talented young performer whom Roger knows from the New York scene, had come down too. A sure sign that the circle is getting wider.

It’s finally here: Roger’s very first music video and it’s for his song “Audition.” It’s viewable directly on the Music page but here’s the link to it on YouTube. http://youtu.be/j21OMzeE7JY
